Carden Ambassadors (School Council)

The Carden Ambassador (CATs) team are democratically elected by their class mates.  Two students from each class (Y2-6 and KS2 Speech and Language Centre) meet each Friday lunchtime with the Head Teacher and are a pivotal team within our school.

School Council Pledge

On Friday 24th January, the CATs received a visit from Siriol Hugh-Jones, an elected Green Party councillor for Brighton and Hove Council.  She shared with the children what the role of a councillor is within the council, the rewards and the challenges of the position.  The CATs explored with Siriol the similarities between their two roles, agreeing that the CATs were also responsible for listening to their classmates ideas and suggestions and making sure that when possible these were actioned and this was fed back to the rest of the school community.
