We are pleased that the inspectors recognised that Carden has a “buoyant atmosphere”, and that “strong relationships and a commitment to inclusivity throughout the school mean that pupils feel well cared for and secure”.
Our new phonics programme recieved a mention, and the fact we are “ambitious for pupils”, “expect them to work hard”, and that our Early Years curriculum “supports pupils well in future learning”.
As well as noting that our pupils with special educational needs “participate fully in school life”, we are happy that pupils told inspectors they know “adults in school will keep them safe”. The inspectors recognised that “bullying incidents are rare… leaders deal with any concerns about bullying promptly and fairly.”
You can read about how we’re continuously improving Carden in our School Development Plan. The plan focuses on any areas of the curriculum, learning environment, teaching and general running of the school that can be developed and improved, including any targets set by OfSTED.
